Institute Achievements

Gandhinagar Institute of Technology was felicitated by Shri Shailendra Mishra (Zonal Director, NCB) on 25/06/2021 for participating in "ART-A-THON 2.0" event. The event was organized by High On Life Foundation, in association with Narcotics Control Bureau (Ahmedabad Zonal Unit), Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign, Gujarat and Ahmedabad Police. Ms. Sanjana Singh (180120111008) and Ms. Diya Patel (200120107058) won laurels for the instiute in the event.

Gandhinagar Institute of Technology received a Quality Excellence award 2021 on 15th August at Baroda, Gujarat. The event was organized by Indian Quality Assurance Council (IQAC) in collaboration with Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD) Vadodara. Dr. H N Shah Director GIT, Prof. Madhuri Chopade, GIT-IQAC coordinator and Prof. Harshal Oza, GIT-IQAC Co-coordinator received the award.

Aditya Bajpai, student of GIT won the M2M challenge, introduced by i-Hub, A Government of Gujarat Enterprise. He got Rs 4,19,700/- fund in March-2021. The Management, Dr H N Shah - Director and Prof Hardik H Bhatt - HOD-EC congratulates him for achieving such a significant milestone.

The students of GIT have filled 6 design patterns for their innovative ideas. GIT IPR Cell provided mentoring and IP facilitator support. The financial support of Rs 36,450/- was provided to the students under SSIP in March-2021.

GIT had organized the "GIT Vs Covid-19 Ideathon" to engage young minds and reduce their stress during pandemic under SSIP. The prize money of Rs 50,000/- was also given to all the winners in December-2020. The Management and Dr H N Shah - Director congratulates all winners.

GIT has been recognized for this and awarded for Excellence in Academics & Co-curricular 2020 by Times Education Icons in November 2020

GIT has been recognized and awarded "Ahmedabad City Icon Award" for excellence in the category of engineering institute for the year 2020.

The Institute has successfully hosted the first International Conference on Data Science and Artificial Application ICDSIA 2020 during 23 and 24 January 2020

GIT students are Winner of Smart City Hackathon 2020, hosted by education department of Gujarat Government on 23rd-24th January 2020

GIT received Eminence award for being the best engineering college by Honorable Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on 14th December 2019, event supported by Divya Bhaskar.

GIT had been awarded as valuable and outstanding Blood donation camp organizer in 2018-19 from Governor of Gujarat Honorable Shri Acharya Devvrat at AMA, Ahmedabad on 10th September, 2019.

Pancholi Yashsavi, one of our student won Bronze Medal in Skeet Shooting-2019, in All India Vayu Sainik Camp by NCC (National level competition) held at Jodhpur on 9th September, 2019.

Institute students won Smart India Hackathon-2019 at IIT-Kanpur, defeated 32 teams from all over the country during 2nd – 3rd March 2019

Institute has hosted GTU Zonal Techfest 2015, 2018 and 2019 for Gandhinagar Zone.

GIT is awarded by 94.3 MY FM for “Excellence in Faculty (Engineering & Technology)” and “Excellence in Engineering Education” in 2018

CE Department Achievements

Gandhinagar Institute of Technology is proud to announce that team of four Computer Engineering students Tanay Shah, Maharshi Solanki, Janmey Solanki and Akash soni under the mentorship of Prof. Sejal Bhavsar, secured Third position in Smart Gujarat for New India Hackathon. Apart from this, The winning students were awarded the prize of Rs. 25000 by the hand of Hon'ble Education Minister of Gujarat, Shri Jitendra Vaghani and Minister of State, Education Department of Gujarat, Shri Kuberbhai Dindor on 24/9/2021 at KCG Auditorium, Ahmedabad.

Dr Rajan Patel received an award "Excellent Research Award: 2020" on the occasion of Engineering's Day - 15 September 2020 by Sardar Patel Education Campus, Vidhyanagar, Gujarat, India. He also received the “Paper Presenter Award at International Conference” (2017-2020) under the Chairmanship of Mr. Sanjay Mohapatra and followed by the approval of ExecCom of CSI during the CSI-2020 Annual Convention at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, India.

GIT-CE Department organized International Conference on Data Science and Intelligent Applications on 24th-25th January 2020. It was sponsored by Gujarat Council of Science and Technology (GUJCOST), Gandhinagar, in association with Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Ahmedabad and Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), New Delhi. A total of more than 129 research submissions were received, out of which 79 presentation were scheduled, which will give benefits to more than 240 authors. The proceeding of ICDSIA-2020 is published in Springer’s series: “Lecture Notes on Data Engineering and Communications Technologies (LNDECT) ISSN: 2367-4512”.

Six CE students namely Rishit Joshi, Puja Gole, Shrey Banugaria, Avinash Korat, Mohit Dungrani and Devansh registered for the problem statement of DIPP (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion) in Simple Category, and got selected for the Grand Finale Smart India Hackathon-2019 at IIT Kanpur campus. They have not just won the cash prize of 50,000/- Rs. but also got the certificates and winners trophy as well.

Students of Computer Engineering Branch of Gandhinagar Institute of Technology have secured second position in Gujarat Industrial Hackathon - 2018 Competition. Apart from this, the winning students were given a prize of Rs. 35000 by the hand of Hon'ble Education Minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama.

CE Students Puja Goel and Vora Virag awarded and certified for the excellent performance as a top ranker for the academics of the year 2017-2018 by Kailashben Thaker(Trustee, DMFT), Dr. Chetan Samant (Regional Head - West Zone, NASSCOM) and Prof. (Dr.) Navin Sheth(Vice-Chancellor, Gujarat Technological University) and other authorities from NASSCOM, Department of Science and Technology, Gujarat Informatics Limited, GTU, and Gujarat Electronics and Software Industries Association(GESIA).

BANUGARIA SHREY SHIRISHBHAI from CE Department won Mr. Elegance Award in a Youth training program, KUMAR held at Kota, Rajasthan by JCI. (Non-Tech) and Best Participant Award in Youth Development Program, JASMINE, held at Vadodara, Gujarat by JCI. (Non-Tech).

EC Department Achievements

Chintan Chhatbar (150120111003) has joined Indian Navy as an Officer in Nov 2020 after clearing exam and SSB. Initially he had gone through Indian Naval Academy at INS Zamorin, Kerala. Out of 2000 student at INA, he was awarded Flag Officer Commanding in Chief silver medal on passing out parade at INA on 27th Nov 2021

"Neel Golwelkar (190120111002) participated in the ""All India Shito-Ryu Karate Tournament"", which was organized by ""Okinawa Shito-Ryu School of Karate, India"" at Udaipur, Rajasthan on 25th and 26th September 2021. He won Gold & Bronze Medals in Kata & Kumite Fights, respectively.

He further participated in the ""State Selection Karate Tournament"", which was organized by ""Karate Association of Ahmedabad"" at Khokhra Sports Complex, Ahmedabad on 27th & 28th November, 2021. Secured a Gold medal in the 60 Kg Weight Category (under 21 years).

Neel also participated in the ""Gujarat State Sub-Junior / Cadet / Junior U-21 Karate Championship'', which was organized by ""Karate Do Federation Gujarat"" at Gandhidham, Kutch on 11th and 12th December, 2021. Secured a Bronze medal in the 60 Kg category. He has been selected from Gujarat to represent the West Zone of India."

Sanjana Singh (180120111008) of Sem. 6 received 1st Prize in "ART-A-THON 2.0" Event on the "Mental Health" Theme for her Painting Titled "Embrace Life-Addressing Mental Health Issues". The event was organized By High on Life Foundation. She was felicitated by by Shri Shailendra Mishra (Zonal Director, NCB) on 25/06/2021 for the same..

Pranjal Gupta (200120111017) secured 7th Rank in National Level 4 day intensive tech challange organised by GITHub Developer Tech Camp from 06/02/2021 to 09/02/2021. He further secured 10th Rank pan-india in IncubateIND Developer Tech Camp (IDTC) which was organized from 20/03/2021 to 22/03/2021

The two students of EC department, Gourav A. Mishra and Sanjana J. Singh, have won first Prize of Rs. 10000 for 'GIT Vs COVID-19 Ideathon' in Innovation Domain.The event was held on 27th and 28th april 2020.The topic of the ideathon was "Covid-19 Risk Avoidance System for Grocery Shops".

Prof. Mitul Maniar certified as Top Performing Mentor for the NPTEL courses of "Body Languange - Key to Professional Success" and "The Joy of Computing using Python". Courses were run from July-Dec 2019. Above all he also translated 33 hours of course content from English to Gujarati of the NPTEL course "Basic Electronics" and a GitHub Certified Campus Advisor.

Prof. Jatin Chakravarti was awarded as the 'Youth Icon' of Healthy Campus initiative by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Govt. of India on 27/08/2018

Chintan Chhatbar (EC) won Silver medal/ 2nd position overall in Wet and Wild Regatta 2018 (National Yatching Championship)

EC Department organized GUJCOST Sponsored 5 Days STTP on IoT using ARM Cortex M4 and Received grant of Rs. 40,000/ for the same.

EE Department Achievements

EE Students got SSIP fund under the guidance of Prof Hitesh Manani for their innovation on Electric Wheelchair in Feb 2020 in GIT.

Students of Electrical Department got appriciation from CM Rupani, Gujrat at 3 day Startup-tech Summit at Science City, Ahmedabad on 12th DEC 2019.

EE Students got selected to showcase their SSIP funded project (RAAH-Electric Vehicle) with Prof Hitesh Manani under GTU stall at Virant Gujarat 2019 at Vibrant Gujarat Gandhinagar in Jan 2019.

IT Department Achievements

3 IT students from Gandhinagar Institute of Technology namely Patel Chahil Kumar, Bhimani Akshay, Neel Koshti along with the mentor Prof. Swapnil Panchal registered for the problem statement by DOE (Department of Education, Government of Gujarat) and out of 280 applying teams, they got selected for the Grand Finale at Marwadi University Smart City Hackathon 2020-21.

Chahil Patel, an IT student and a modest team member of Gujarat Technological University Robotics Club, had started his journey with GRC in mid of 2018. After efficiently working and being at optimum, GTU team achieved AIR-3 in DD ROBOCON 2019, hosted by Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Continuing his journey, GTU team achieved AIR-2 in DD ROBOCON 2020, hosted by Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Then after the team achieved the golden opportunity of representing INDIA in International ABU Robofest 2020, hosted by Tokyo. GTU Robotics Club is proud of CHAHIL PATEL for his tremendous hard work.

Smart India Hackathon-2019 was conducted on 2nd and 3rd March 2019, where students from IT “Team Hex” consisting Avinash Korat guided by Prof. Alpa Oza (IT-Dept.) participated and represented GIT and GTU at IIT-Kanpur. Team Hex competed against 60 teams and came out as the winning team, all thanks to their innovative ideas and skills.

IT Department of GIT is proud to announce that team of 3 students Nimesh Ratnaparkhi, Prashant Sihag, Rahul Gaddam under Guidance of Prof. Dulari Bhatt and support of Prof. Rahul Vaghela(HOD, IT) won 2nd prize in Project Expo 2019 held at Surat in March 2019 supported by NITI Aayog.

Prof. Rahul vaghela awarded with GTU Pedagogical innovation award for the outstanding contribution as Nodal and institute coordinator of GTU OSTC club and Spoken tutorial project, IIT Bombay.

MBA Department Achievements

Ms. Shah Binal Dipakkumar, a student of MBA Batch 2019-21 was awarded Gold Medal at the 11th convocation of Gujarat Technological University held on 27th January 2022 at Science City, Ahmedabad for securing the highest CPI amongst the all students of Information Technology Management (ITM) specialization.

Mr. Ravirajsinh Pravinsinh Vaghela, Assistant Commissioner GST, Gujarat a student of 2009-11 batch of MBA department of Gandhinagar Institute of Technology was awarded “Alumni Excellence Award” for being an outstanding Alumni of GIT during “Alumni Meet” held on 24th January 2020 at GIT.

Mr. Salot Chaitya Jitendra, a student of MBA Batch 2017-19 was awarded Gold Medal at the 9th convocation of Gujarat Technological University held on 11th January 2020 at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar. For securing the highest CPI amongst the students of Information Technology Management (ITM).

Graduate School of Management Studies, Gujarat Technological University had organized “Anusandhan-2019” (A State Level Summer Internship Project (SIP) Competition 2019) on 03-09-2019. GIT-MBA, Second year student, got the 2nd Runner Up position in this event. He was awarded Runner up certificate along with cash prize of Rs. 2000 from GTU.

GIT-MBA students team Hitesh Koladiya, Rashmi Rathod and Vishal Kune had participated in the event “MAP” (Multidisciplinary Action Project) and won The First Prize Also MBA students team consisting of Hitesh Koladiya, Rakesh Raval, Vinod Giri and Mukesh Dhewa had participated in the event “Bech-Ke-Dikha” and won The First Prize of in GTU CENTRAL TECHFEST'19

Vinod Giri, MBA Student was felicitated as the best performer for the remarkable performance in the Summer Internship Programme 2018-19 at “Times of India” group on 10th September 2018.

GIT MBA sem 3 student Mr. Alok Parmar achieved "Best Summer Intern" award from "M-Swipe" organization under Summer Internship Programme for being Top Performer in Gujarat region among all the summer interns from various B-Schools of Gujarat.

ME Department Achievements

GIT ME Cricket team : Winner of Karnavati University Cricket Tournament 2020 which was held from 23rd feb'20 to 27th feb'20 . More than 500 players from all over the india's leading university participated in tournament and our students of GIT participated in boys team event in Cricket. They became a champion in the tournament by defeating S.M.P.I.C College in the finals by 65 runs.

Best Girl Participant Award in Eco Green Vehicle Challenge which is Inter-College National level competition and was held at L D Engineering College, Ahmedabad from 4th to 6th April , 2019

Formula Bharat is an Indian Formula Student-style competition. Team GTU Motorsport consisting ME Students Darsh Gupta, Het Brahmbhatt, Chinmay Shah, Stuti Kulkarni participated in this competition which was held at Noida (Delhi) from 24th to 27th January,2019 and got 3rd Rank in overall category.
