Dr. Nimisha Patel experience in the field of Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Engineering and Information Technology. She completed her Ph.D. (Computer Science & Engineering) with Cloud Computing as the major domain for research. She completed her M.Tech. (Computer Engineering) from S. V. National Institute of Technology (NIT), Surat. She has 51 research papers in various conferences & Journals of national and international repute with Scopus, eSCI, UGC, indexing. She is currently guiding PhD Scholars. She has delivered expert talks and also acted as session chair and reviewer for many conferences. Her area of domain is Cloud Computing, Networking, Information Security and Parallel Programming.

PhD is in the domain of Data Mining and Machine Learning. Apart from this the areas of interest are Database management system, System Analysis & Design and Data Structure. Also a Certified Oracle 7.2 with Developer 2000 from SQL* International Limited, New Delhi. Has participated in various events like seminars, conferences, expert lectures, industrial training and FDPs. Also organized various events for the faculty members and the overall development of students in the span of almost 15 years at Nirma University. Along with paper presented in one national conference, 2 international conferences and 2 international journals, has secured various certificates from IITs in Introduction to Data Analytics, IIT Madras, Introduction to Machine Learning, IIT Kharagpur, Privacy and Security in Online Social Media, IIIT Delhi and Research Writing, IIT Kharagpur. He was awarded with Pedagogical Innovation Award by GTU & letter of appreciation by IIT-Bombay in 2014.
