Awareness Drive against Drug Abuse

The Healthy Campus Committee of GIT organized an “Awareness Drive against Drug Abuse” in collaboration with “Narcotics Control Bureau, Ahmedabad” and “High on Life’ Foundation”. The drive kickstarted on 18/06/2022 during the “Farewell Party of 2018 Batch”. Around 400 students and staff attended the event. Pamphlets and “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life” stickers were distributed to spread awareness. In the second leg of the drive an Awareness Seminar was conducted on 23/06/2022 for the students of Sem. 2 MBA department, to signify the importance of “International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking”. The Seminar was conducted by Shri Amit Khare (Intelligence Officer, NCB). He educated the students about the Drug Enforcement agencies in India. He also explained how students can contribute to demand reduction of narcotic drugs through such drives. In the end he cleared various doubts raised by students.
